Stephen P. Dickson

Vice President and Controller

Stephen Dickson was named vice president and controller of WEC Energy Group and We Energies in June 2015.

Dickson previously served as vice president, controller and principal accounting officer for Wisconsin Energy Corporation and We Energies. Dickson is responsible for the external financial information that is filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies. He also is responsible for supporting the company’s business units in financial matters and transaction processing activities, including payroll, accounts payable and property accounting.

Dickson joined the company as controller in 2000 as a result of Wisconsin Energy’s acquisition of WICOR, the former holding company for Wisconsin Gas. Dickson joined WICOR in 1998 as controller. Prior to WICOR, he worked for Arthur Andersen for 15 years.

Dickson earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1983. He became a certified public accountant in 1985 and passed the Certified Internal Audit exam in 1997. Dickson is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Dickson also serves as chair of the audit committee for Aurora Health Care, is a board member of the not-for-profit organization Center for Urban Teaching, and is a member of the Edison Electric Institute Accounting Executive Advisory Committee.
