  • The We Energies We Care Call Program was selected unanimously as the winner of one of five awards from the Association for Energy Services Professionals. The We Care Call Program won the Marketing Communications/Outreach category primarily based on how outage calls are managed and the related communications process with customers regarding all other transactions.
  • We Energies was named Business of the Year by the Southeastern Chamber United in Business which serves businesses in Oak Creek and Franklin, Wisconsin. Nominees’ history, growth, community involvement, and impact on economic development are considered in the selection process.
  • We Energies Gas Operations was recognized by the American Gas Association (AGA) as an Industry Leader in Accident Prevention for its safety performance in 2006. The Accident Prevention Certificate was earned as a result of achieving a total OSHA recordable injury and illness incident rate that was below the industry average for companies of similar size and type. We Energies was one of 12 companies that received AGA recognition for accident prevention in 2006.
  • The Wisconsin Council on Safety recognized We Energies as a corporate leader in the areas of health and safety. The honor is bestowed on organizations that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to safety, successful implementation of results-based safety programs and an exemplary corporate safety record.
  • Wisconsin Energy Corporation was named a Top 250 Global Energy Company for 2007 by Platts, a leading provider of energy information. According to Platts, the top 250 is a distinguished group of global energy firms that have demonstrated their ability to consistently deliver outstanding performance. Platts’ ranking of the top 250 global energy companies measures financial performance by examining each company’s assets, revenue, profits and return on invested capital. Wisconsin Energy earned a ranking of 189 on overall performance. Platts also analyzes energy companies according to nine industry classifications in three geographic regions. Wisconsin Energy ranked 22nd in the Diversified Utility classification and 81st overall in the Americas region.
  • For the fifth time in the past six years, We Energies was named the winner of the ReliabilityOne award in the Midwest region for the superior reliability of its electric system based on performance for the year 2006. The ReliabilityOne award is given annually by PA Consulting Group to utilities that have excelled in delivering reliable electric service to their customers. PA Consulting Group is the energy industry’s largest management consulting firm. PA reviewed the outage performance data of utilities across the country as a part of the firm’s annual benchmarking study of North American energy providers.
  • Wisconsin Department of Commerce named We Energies as winner of its Outstanding Contribution to Minority Business Development Award.
  • The Health Project recognized We Energies as a corporate leader in health and wellness, awarding the company a C. Everett Koop National Health Award. The annual honor is given to work site, community or provider programs that have documented improved employee health and decreased medical costs.
