Lori Flores Rolfson was promoted to vice president – operations June 2015 for Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas. In this role, she is responsible for strategically directing and leading gas operations and maintenance functions, as well as customer service in field operations. She ensures the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to customers, as well as compliance with state and federal regulations. She also is responsible for customer satisfaction, employee safety and financial results of the operations.

Flores Rolfson was appointed director – labor and employee relations, human resources, for Milwaukee-based We Energies in 2011. In this role, she was responsible for directing and maintaining employee and labor relations strategies in support of corporate goals. She directed all contract negotiations and developed employee policies and related programs. She also worked to ensure a strong partnership between the company’s client relationship managers, labor principals, human resources staff and department leaders across the company. She also was responsible for oversight of corporate medical services, diversity and equal employment opportunity compliance, and the Human Resource Information Center.

Flores Rolfson joined We Energies in 1991 as a human resources consultant. In 1996, she was appointed assistant area manager for the southern area – customer operations, where she was responsible for aligning operations’ work functions and operational budgets. In 2001, she was appointed gas field operations manager for the Southeast Wisconsin Area. In 2003, she was promoted to area manager for the newly acquired Milwaukee gas operations, where she was responsible for all field operation functions, including customer service, construction and maintenance. In 2004, she transferred to the Western area as the area manager, where she was responsible for all field operation functions for both gas and electric operations. In 2009, she became area manager for field operations support services, where she was responsible for field operations budgeting, third-party contracting, operations work management systems support, central group customer services, and implementation of process improvement through Lean practices.

Flores Rolfson earned her executive MBA and bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and Lean facilitator. She has served on the boards of Waukesha County Economic Development Corporation and United Way in Waukesha County, as vice chair for the Midwest Energy Association Leadership Committee, and as HR Committee chair for the Sharon Lynne Wilson Art Center. She is currently the secretary and chair of the Strategy Committee for the National Latino Education Institute board in Chicago. She also serves on the board of Chicago’s Local Initiatives Support Corp. office. She has been recognized as a Business Leader of Color by Chicago United, the goal of which is to identify leaders capable of serving on corporate boards. She was recognized by Women in Energy Network as a Powerful Woman as a result of her consistent advocacy and empowerment of women in her workplace.
