Vice President – Gas Distribution Asset Management

Bob Whitefoot was named vice president – gas distribution asset management for WEC Energy Group in June 2015.

In this role, Whitefoot is responsible for the company’s strategies to ensure continued safe and reliable operation of the natural gas distribution system. He also provides direction to ensure code-compliant operation of the natural gas distribution system and prepares strategic initiatives to ensure ample natural gas distribution system capacity.

Since joining the company in 1978, Whitefoot has held positions of increasing responsibility, including associate engineer; engineer – measurement and instrumentation; manager – gas management; manager – gas system operations; director – gas system operations; and regional manager – southeast Wisconsin. In 2002, he was named director – gas distribution asset management. He was appointed to his current role when WEC Energy Group was formed in 2015.

Whitefoot earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside.

Whitefoot is a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin. He is active in the American Gas Association and Wisconsin Utilities Association, and also is a member of the board of directors of the Midwest Energy Association.
