WEC Energy Group’s procurement activities promote the utilization of certified minority-, women-, service disabled-, or veteran-owned businesses and small businesses (M/W/SD/V/SBEs) in the communities we serve. • Share the Corporate Supplier Diversity Commitment with every employee who is responsible, directly or indirectly, for purchasing products and services and, when appropriate, promoting the engagement with M/W/SD/V/SBEs in the bidding process.
• Foster competition, enhance job creation and generate additional purchasing power in the communities in which we do business.
• Develop innovative and effective tools to enable M/W/SD/V/SBE participation in our procurement activities.
• Cultivate inclusive procurement relationships through the consistent, proactive exchange of information.
• Explore opportunities for M/W/SD/V/SBEs to collaborate with other vendors to support our business needs.
• Capture the benefits of a robust supplier pipeline providing high-quality products and services to demonstrate capabilities at competitive prices.

Senior leadership supports the Supply Diversity Program. Overall coordination of the Supplier Diversity Program is the responsibility of Procurement and Supplier Diversity Program executives who coordinate the administration and implementation by WEC Energy Group business units responsible for procurement activities.

Promoting inclusive relationships with diverse suppliers generates additional purchasing power in the communities in which WEC Energy Group does business.
