Supplier Diversity Program requirements
Requirements to qualify as a minority-owned business
- A for-profit enterprise, regardless of size.
- Physically located in the United States.
- At least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by one or more minority individuals. In case of a publicly-owned business, at least 51 percent of the stock is owned by one or more minority individuals. Minority group members are African-American, Hispanic-American, Native-American, Asian Indian-American and Asian Pacific-American.
- Must be certified with one or more of the MBE/WBE certification organizations we recognize.
Requirements to qualify as a non-minority, women-owned business
- A for-profit enterprise, regardless of size.
- Physically located in the United States.
- At least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by one or more non-minority women. In case of a publicly-owned business, at least 51 percent of the stock is owned by one or more non-minority women.
- Must be certified with one or more of our recognized WBE certification organizations.
Requirements to qualify as a small business
- A business enterprise that is independently owned and operated, is organized for profit, and is not dominant in its field.
- Refer to the Small Business Administration size standards. Depending on the industry, size standard eligibility is based on the average number of employees for the preceding 12 months or on sales volume averaged over a three-year period.
- Must be certified/classified with U.S. Small Business Administration or System for Award Management (SAM).
To register for our Supplier Diversity Program, you must be certified with one or more of our recognized certification agencies and provide evidence of your certification (a copy of your certificate) for our records.

Annual reminder
Note: We send annual reminders to supplier contacts requesting updates of their MBE/WBE third-party certifications. If certification is not updated, the supplier profile expires from our Supplier Diversity Program database.
