A message from WEC Energy Group President and CEO Kevin Fletcher

For more than 100 years, we have provided the reliable service you count on. During these challenging times, we maintain this commitment to serve, and your safety and the safety of our employees will always be our top priority.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security identifies us as “essential critical infrastructure workers.” The other businesses and organizations considered essential need us, too: hospitals, doctors’ offices, pharmacies, grocery stores, social service agencies, and police and fire stations, among others.

As COVID-19 continues to impact our communities, I want to assure you that we are prepared and taking steps to ensure we’ll continue to be there for you to meet your energy needs.

We have a strong track record in preparing for and responding to emergencies, because we understand that you rely on us to power your homes and businesses, and to help fuel the economies across America’s heartland. Here are just a few of the steps we are taking:

  • We are in constant communication with local, state and federal agencies and health organizations to ensure that we are apprised of the latest developments and to coordinate our response.
  • We are committed to working with all of our customers, and have payment plans available including for those who are impacted or otherwise experiencing a hardship due to COVID-19. If you are having difficulty paying your bills, please contact us.
  • We have staffing plans in place to ensure natural gas workers, power plant operators, line workers, customer care representatives and other critical team members continue delivering the reliable service you expect.
  • To reduce the potential spread of illness, we have travel restrictions in place for employees, and are asking many employees to work remotely. We also are providing personal protective equipment to front-line workers and further enhancing sanitation at our facilities.

Be assured that our team will continue to work day and night to deliver the energy you need. As we take these measures to put our preparedness plans into action, we are strongly focused on the health and safety of our team members and everyone in the communities we are privileged to serve.
